Why are we defending multi million dollar companies for putting out slop and proving at 70 dollars. I get the I just want to shut my brain off but if u don’t want to put the minimum effort in a game just watch a movie. We are devolving and paying more for it these days if we want better products we have to be critical. It doesn’t need to be 80 hours or have everything in the world to do but if the combat is just ok boring even and all u do is run foreward jump and watch a cutscene it’s a bad game. X men origins wolverine came out years before and it’s way more fun and complex and isn’t tedious to go through and u can finish it in a week. We just want quality for our money. And if the multi million dollar talanted company gives us the bare minimum baby’s game and u guys eat it up we are in trouble. The game looked worrying from the beginning.

Spot on brother. Not every game has to be 90 hours plus. I work full time. people that dislike these types of games need to just get a Life nothing wrong with a 4 day video game with a great story.

In my heart of hearts I am a solo story gamer first above anything else this sounds right right up m alley,. Wolverine never neede to be an open world game like Spider-Man a straight linear story and slashing through enemies sounds fantastic to me.

Aye I think you missed what they actually meant. By “too linear” they mean the game leaves no room for independent exploration and finding out things for yourself, the game holds your hand pretty much. The last of us is a linear game but allows you to explore each level and find things yourself and that adds to the immersion and agency of the player.
