Allowing 10% rent increases every year outpaces the tenant’s pay raise even in good times when employers are more willing to give cost of living increases, so while this is start I think that needs to go down to 5% at least

Too little too late! Extend the rent control eligibility to apts beyond 1979!! And remove the exceptions for condos and SFHs. Remove the ability of neighbors to object to new builds

Anything but actually holding predatory landlords accountable. People who offer housing should be afraid of what might happen to them if they try exploiting residents. they have no shame because there’s no accountability.

A 10% cap is far too high .. it should t be more than 5% at best … protections mean nothing when people still can’t afford the rent … my brother has lived in his place for 23 years .. owner died, kids gave an eviction notice … my brother has no plans to move and I don’t blame him .. they would have to buy me out with enough to afford me to find a new place …

I'm so nervous my landlords are gonna randomly get greedy. Never ask for repairs and am a quiet tenant... but who know what is going on these days, it's horrific
