I actually remember watching this news cast live when I was 16yrs old it was around 11pm and everyone in the house was asleep I had to go wake up my parents when the second plane hit cause I was so scared

New Zealander here. I was only 6 years old but I remember the breaking news coverage interrupting normal TV. I didn't really understand what was going on but I do remember my mother crying and praying. So awful.

I was home sick from school that day (senior year) and I remember my dad coming into my room to tell me about the first one and going back to sleep, then rushing in to tell me about the second one not long after that and just being glued to the tv for the next couple of days.

Hearing Sandra’s voice wobble as she watched live, with CNN in her ear as the second tower fell… it’s a moment I’ll never forget. Me and my girlfriend burst into tears at that point. Our two boyfriends held their hands on top of their heads and just froze looking at the tv. I’ll never forget watching Sandra Sully that night 25 years ago.

I remember watching live as the 2nd plane hit. It was shocking and horrifying. I ran to wake my parents and they the Pentagon had been hit. I ran back to my husband and 1st tower fell, the passengers crashed the other plane and the other tower fell after we watched all the firies run in. People falling to their death ... we thought they were jumping but they were getting blown out of the building ... it was truly horrifying. This was the night Australia developed a special place in their heart for Sandra Sulley
