@trqautoparts: When you’re replacing brake pads, do the rotors always need to be replaced too? In this Ask the Team video, Brian explains what you should consider when deciding whether your existing rotors can stay or should be replaced along with the pads. #trq #trqautoparts
Lmao replacing rotors every time you replace pads is an insane waste of money

Anytime you replace a transmission it’s better to go ahead and replace the engine too.

Go to a shop that can turn rotors….

No… no you don’t. If the rotor isn’t damaged from going too long on brake pads, or warped, let it ride. I wouldn’t trust a shop that says they should be replaced every time.

This is bullish!!! I just replace pads ! Unless my rotors have been dammaged heavly by a completely worn brake pad all you need to do is replace the pad.

false 30 years replacing my own pads if I rotors look good and if car doesn't shake when you apply the brakes don't waste your money.

That’s the how to make more money talk. I sold a 2010 Tahoe with 281k miles and still had all 4 factory rotors on it.

I have NEVER had a problem using the same rotors! Nor has a shop ever told me this. This sounds exactly like an ad to sell rotors through his employer....

Wrong... you can still get your rotors turned IF they're in spec. if they are warped or hot spotted then yes replace the rotors.
