as a girl with ginger hair myself i told my mom about this and she was APPALLED by your daughters father and his girlfriend. i also grew up my entire life hearing how special my hair was and how people would do anything for this color. my mom also told me i wasn’t allowed to do anything with my hair till i was older. furthermore your daughter only being four means this is the first time she’s ever done anything new with her hair which should have been something you and her got to experience together. i’m genuinely so sorry people in your comments are acting obtuse and not understanding why this means so much to you. also it clearly doesn’t matter that it was “washable conditioner” red hair reacts differently than any other color and purple WILL stain her hair, i know from personal experience.
