that's a nice setup my G runs off the clutch so only charges with clutch engaged that's better setup you got.

Ok, don’t get me wrong, this will work, but it will rob a couple horsepower. On uncle Steve’s 51’ A, we mounted an electric motor up to an alternator hidden under the hood, when the battery would get low he could kick the little electric motor on and charge the battery up. Worked really well and did take power from the engine like yours does. 🥰
