The thing i remember that I'm not sure is talked about was the undertones of fear of what the US would do. Yasser Arafat was on TV donating blood for 911 victims. he looked terrified.

I was a history major (UWO ‘04) and had a US history class that year and our small seminar later that day (sadly not cancelled) was 100% about their foreign policy.

as soon as i understood what happened, it was obvious that 9/11 was the end of 90s optimism. bush would start a war against someone. he called the enemy “terror” and spun that into two brutal wars.
