On a similar note. My therapist was confused how my brother with a gtube could still throw up. Like…what? He still has “food” and it can still come up. His throat isnt broken

I am so confused on how to drain my g tube extension with a ferrall bag. I have the that super thin extension with the two purple ports at the end of it, and then I attach the ferrall bag. I keep the Y port of ferrall bag capped and below my stomach (when I’m sleeping it’s just lying off the side of my bed) and hope for gravity to pull my stomach contents down. But there’s so much tubing and nothing is coming out. I have no clue how to use a ferrall bag or what I’m doing wrong. When I had a dangler I always was draining so much bile and food out. But now the extensions seem so thin that I don’t even know how people are able to drain anything. The bigger extensions are not flexible enough and are bulky though. If anyone could please please please DM me a picture of how to use a ferrall bag to drain gastric contents with a mic-key g tube button and the extension with the two purple ports at the end of it, I would appreciate it so much. I am so lost and struggling right now because I’m not able to probably drain my stomach because the hospital did not teach me

I used to be 50/50 tube fed tube solids been solids only for awhile but we give me water overnight

I also eat all day and only use my tube for supplementation! Short gut syndrome here. We are all v different :)
