I'm glad they didn't get divorced over it, I don't believe marriages should end for anything outside of adultery or abuse. However, seeing her take NO accountability while he is made to apologize and stand up for her is incredibly disheartening and the only good thing that came from this is that hopefully younger men will look at this and learn not to settle.

I wish more people understood what it means when we say men can't show their emotions. It's because when we do we get punished, either with a tantrum, or turning it around and making it about them and how we must hate them if we're not happy. The guilt trip isn't worth the hassle so it's easier to pretend we're fine.

he already makes peace with the situation he's in. the spool of wire is nearly finished, so he's gonna hang in there until the spool is finally used up. it's not worth the energy to change anything when there's nothing much left. so might as well hang in there when the time finally comes to throw away the empty spool

As someone who was in a relationship with a very Narcissistic person, I was treated very dismissively far too often and for far too long but I still defended her to the point I lost friends and family but for me personally it eventually did do damage to me. I also endured cheating, interfering parents and many other problems she caused that all contributed to how toxic the relationship was. Not saying it will end the same for him but he needs to be careful... I have now been free of that relationship for around three years and free from her still calling and messaging me for about two years but I am still left with the damage sadly...
