this is not fully true, settler colonialism specifically is a very unique concept in history, most wars didn’t result in the complete destruction and death of the conquered population. also even in the 1500’s many people even in spain were VERY against the treatment of the native population

I agree with you for a lot of these but with the ottomans it’s not true, in the first era of Turkic migrations to Anatolia yes it’s true it was normal but on the geno it’s not the last genos by the Turks were in ww1 which was after the period of this being just normalized and accepted although it still happened, not to mention the main issue is they don’t recognize the genos on the Greeks and Armenians it’s not that it happened as history is history

I'm Native and I strongly encourage you to rethink this stance. they did get in trouble in Europe for what they did to us here and it was frowned upon. not just columbus but carbajal in particular for his enslavement of the chichimec.
