The mayor is still pissed that she can’t control the county law enforcement agency. The mayor needs to accept that the office of sheriff is there to stay in Miami Dade County.

Yes the Sheriff is an elected position but their authority is over the Sheriffs Department which is contracted to the city, not the city.
