My daughter is right after the cut off.l too. Its the same in cali. My kids are 14 months apart and should be right behind each other in school but they’re 2 grades apart because of that cut off. I never thought to test in but wonder how many kids/parents actually have and it worked out

It just throws off our routine n flow 😂 n not to mention this man wants me to stay up late af when I have to be up at 7:30am to get our kids off to school. I love that he wants to spend time with me but let this mama sleep. 🤣

It’s so crazy how it’s different in other places. In Puerto Rico you have to be 5 before dec 31st to be able to go into kindergarten. But, as a student teacher there is such a difference between a January 5yo and a December 5yo so I totally get the cut off in the states.
