From what I saw in the trailer, it looks like Vaatu came back but this time had a cult following...Korra fought him and either lost or completely retreated...either way, history got twisted in Vaatu's favour and the Avatar was scapegoated for any past or ensuing destruction. That being said, I will be nitpicking hard to make sure that Korra (not the Avatar) gets personally blamed for everything 😂

Korra fans who hate the slander need to be mad at the WRITERS. We just point out the flaws and decisions that she shouldn’t have made. We all know she’s a great character but to ignore the facts is crazy. 😂 The second we found out that “the world went through a cataclysmic event” I knew the writers were gonna come up with some redeeming quality for Korra while also having her acknowledge her mistakes leading to said cataclysmic event. At least that’s what I hope 😭 because it feels like either they redeem her enough to not have 100% blame or they double down on her being as bad as THEY WROTE HER TO BE.
