@raddadbodtv: A lot of new runners face the dilemma around whether they should trust their watch vs the treadmill. Nowadays you can calibrate your watch to a singular tread which helps but even for me sometimes things get out of whack. At the end of the day tread will be more accurate than watch 99% of the time. Watches are making guesses based off cadence and average stride length. Meanwhile the tread is counting actual rotations of the belt. Neither will be perfect however the rotations of the belt will usually be more accurate than your watches guestimations #runnerdad #dadsthatrun #runlifebalance #runninggearreviews #bestrunninggear
use stryd, most accurate sensor on treadmill and on the road

Need to grab an NPE Runn. That gives you the most treadmill accuracy

My Garmin calibrates after each run but it only seems to use the last run for the next one. This is fine if I’m running the same speed but it’s awful for doing intervals or hills.

I ran 3.15 miles on Tuesday on the treadmill and the estimated distance on my Fenix 8 was 6.6 miles. Idk why it was so far off, it’s never done that

You mean the watch that’s based on satellite and arm motion is less accurate than the treadmill that’s designed to be accurate? What a shocker
