@thephysiofix: What is he training for? This moment 💙 2 years ago, Logan suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke. He spent weeks in a coma & on a ventilator, fighting through ARDS, pneumonia, blood clots, & lung failure. We were told he had a 10% chance of surviving, might never walk again, & might never regain use of his left side. But he survived. & then he got to work. For 2 years, we’ve trained for walking, stairs, balance, strength, coordination, endurance, work, driving, & independence. But when we found out we were having another baby, there was a new goal: He wanted to hold his son. So we trained for it. Getting up & down from the floor. Carrying weight. Holding awkward objects. Walking while loaded. Balance. Grip. Coordination. Strength. Confidence. Then River was born. He was far more medically complex than we ever anticipated, and Logan was understandably scared to hold him. Tubes, oxygen, & medical equipment made something as simple as picking up your baby feel anything but simple. So we kept training. Not because Logan needed to prove he could pick him up, but because he needed to trust himself enough to do it without constantly wondering what could go wrong. And then came this moment. ❤️ Watching him confidently pick up his son for the first time made every rep mean something different. This is why we train. Rehab isn’t just about getting stronger, improving balance, or checking boxes on an outcome measure. It’s about building the strength, skills, and confidence to get your LIFE back. I started this journey working side by side with Logan. Over the last two years, members of my team at The Physio Fix have stepped in to challenge him, push him, and help him work toward what matters most. Because the goal was never just to walk again. The goal was to be a husband. A dad. A provider. An athlete. Logan. 2 years post-stroke, and we’re still training. Not because his recovery isn’t complete, but because his possibilities aren’t either. ❤️ Sometimes the most important rehab goals can’t be measured in pounds, degrees, or steps. Sometimes they look like picking up your son. 💙 #strokesurvivor #neurorehab #strokerecovery
