Edward is sitting alone in the street, surrounded by bright suburban homes, yet he still looks completely out of place. That is the whole tragedy of the character. He is gentle, creative, and desperate to belong, but the same neighbourhood that first celebrates him eventually turns against him because he is different. It is what makes the film so powerful. Beneath the fantasy and gothic visuals, Edward Scissorhands is really about loneliness, kindness, and how cruel people can be to someone they never truly tried to understand. ✂️🖤
