My guide Wellbeing Today, Freedom Tomorrow shows you how to carve out space for yourself—even when nothing around you changes. Because your needs matter, too. 👉 Comment or DM me the word HOPEFUL and I’ll send it straight to you.
have you tried just telling your husband that you're going to take some time for yourself?

I feel so sad for women who don’t have partners who support their need for autonomy. To be a whole person. I love that my husband has interest and hobbies. And he supports me when I need to take off to do my things. I don’t think we would have lasted this long otherwise.

I’ve told my wife over and over to get a hobby,go on a girls trip. I guess it’s just easier to complain about doing everything

I literally had this conversation with a new mother today. He runs off to play online while she continues to carry the load and she feels guilty for wanting to spend time just for herself without anyone wanting something from her.

Sounds like you either had a bad partner, or your neuroticism got the best of you like it did my ex. I begged her to get out and find a hobby. She wouldn't do it.

Women can have the same autonomy as their partner. Women just can't take on all the household burden on their own. Of course the husband dose some things around the house, but for God sake, the kids need to be responsible for the household responsibilities (dishes, folding clothes, pet duties, mowing the lawn, watering the garden, etc). I have an 18 year old that can't even mow or weed wack the yard because it is too dangerous!!!

So the knitting, binging true crime, reading stacks of books, coloring, etc.... Women have hobbies. Also for that constant caretaker part when we step into take over some task and we are pushed away just for her to complain about "doing it all alone". We try to give that freedom, we are turned down, and then we are blamed for them "not having that freedom"?
