What a big sister thing to do. To just figure out any way to get your baby sister to come with you, even if she’s not listening to you. Makes me tear up because I know my big sister would to the same for me. We’d do anything for each other.

I wish my dad had a nextel back then. we were down at jp morgan, he was dropping me at my aunt's job while he went to the port authority office to get a replacement ID for work. he saw the first plane hit on his way and he ran back to get us. I just remember the look of terror on my mom's face after many hours when we finally made it home. she didn't let me leave the house for the rest of the week.
