@beautychick101: Do you know the Old Hollywood lore surrounding The Formosa Cafe in West Hollywood? 🎞️ Originally opened in 1925 by former prizefighter Jimmy Bernstein in a retired 1904 Pacific Electric Red Car trolley, it then officially launched in 1939 on Santa Monica Boulevard. Stars like Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, Humphrey Bogart, and Elvis Presley all dined here in its former heyday — and mobster Bugsy Siegel even installed a floor safe and phone line behind the train car! These days, the Chinese restaurant is always bustling (and frequently completely booked up with reservations). I especially love their whimsical cocktail creations like the Sichuan Fogcutter (served in a black cat mug), the Year of the Snake (served in a snake mug), and the Side of White Rice (which legitimately looks like white rice in a carton!). 🍹 And don’t skip the soup dumplings and spicy cucumbers! @Visit West Hollywood @discoverLA #formosacafe #theformosacafe #westhollywood #weho #oldhollywood
