So he mocks your job and your beliefs. Those are the 2 main things about a person (regardless if your beliefs are religious, familiar or that your fav team will win the cup) He doesnt like you, he might like a couple of things about you but those are the superficial things, salary, looks etc. You are clearly intelligent (course and business prove this) Loyal (keep family business alive and prosperous) These are the traits he should be admiring.
