@ny1: Ahead of the 25th anniversary of 9/11, FDNY Commissioner Lillian Bonsignore told NY1's Dean Meminger that remembering the event is very personal for her after having been a responder in the aftermath of the attacks. "For me, it's important that I honor and I lead the department in a way that we all honor our fallen and give dignity and respect to the families who have suffered with that loss for 25 years," Bonsignore said.
