I mean the main Ebike I ride rn is the velotric summit 2 and it’s great definitely not cheap though I’ve also owned a ridstar and you don’t really need to pedal they just have pedals so they seem legal I don’t think that bikes like those are necessarily the problem it’s just the people who own them but if that might me kinda hypocritical because I’m 14 but I’m not like those other kids wheeling in the street and causing chaos I just like riding around exploring my area the summit 2 also works pretty well on light mtb trails
