I truly hate the argument that L was just dumb as rocks when he wasn’t dumb. He actually figured it out light fairly quickly. The only reason they weren’t able to catch him and arrest him was because they simply didn’t have proof and it was almost impossible to get proof until he discovered the death note and Shinigamis and even with that evidence it was still almost impossible to prove that light was the one who did it until he basically gave himself away. It’s not that L was dumb. It’s that light was on the same level intelligence and with him, being on the task force they could work against each other light being on the task force gave L even more reason to suspect him, but light was also able to work against L because he knew what they were doing all the time and had constant access to the police. I’m sorry the comment section just pmo satire or not
