She also has a fracture of the tibial tuberosity and significant soft-tissue swelling. She is currently not bearing weight on her right rear leg and urgently needs orthopedic surgery to repair the fracture. Once the swelling goes down, her right knee will need to be reassessed to determine whether there is also a CCL injury. Angel’s medical needs and recovery will require veterinary care, strict crate rest, and a dedicated caregiver—more than the shelter can provide. But Angel isn’t just her injury. ❤️ Shelter staff describe her as sweet, friendly, affectionate, and loving. She has enjoyed cuddles and pets, stayed calmly in volunteers’ arms, wagged her tail, and walks on leash. When approached in her kennel recently, she was initially a little timid but quickly warmed up. This young girl has already been through enough.
