🍜 @Lexy Melbourne 📍 Flinders Ln, CBD 💸 self-funded — XO rock lobster ($15ea) — Stone axe wagyu beef tarlet ($14ea) — Seared black cod ($54) — Wagyu flank ($75) — Jasmine tea smoked duck ($58) — Wok-fried chilli crab egg noodle ($48) — Creme brulee espuma ($22) Lexy is a new Asian fusion spot serving up stunning dishes and with $2 oysters from Tuesday to Friday (3–6pm), I had to kick things off with a dozen. The XO lobster on shokupan looked amazing and was super fresh, but I couldn’t taste the XO sauce and it was kind of messy to eat. I got tobiko everywhere 🙁 but the wagyu beef tartlets was fantastic, like an elevated Thai larb salad, fresh, zesty and the perfect bite. The chilli crab egg noodles were next level, packed with sweet spanner crab, tobiko and chives. Honestly, I want my crab noodles like this from now on. The tea-smoked duck claypot rice was aromatic and delicious, though the grapefruit added a bitter note I wasn’t keen on. The staff also mixed this up for us which was odd because no one else got theirs mixed. The wagyu flank steak was underwhelming, where the bonito was a tad too sweet but the chimichurri did help save it. Standout of the night? The seared black cod with choo chee curry - perfectly cooked, soft and flaky, I could’ve cleaned the bowl. The honey-glazed charred carrots were also a great balance. Dessert was a crème brûlée espuma, which ended up tasting more like a banana fritter - nothing special. Some dishes were definite highlights and others not so much, but overall Lexy delivered enough to make me want to come back and try more of the menu. ⭐️ 4/5 ⭐️ #Foodie #yummy #asianfusion #tiktokfood #Foodie
