Mojang is very hesitant when it comes to little changes like this for some reason; but they’re also quite inconsistent. They added suspicious sand and gravel to desert wells and ocean thingies respectively, but they did not add chiselled nether bricks to the nether fortresses. I guess it’s because the former is gameplay and the latter is decorative

I think it's because they already know what all players do. When they see a wooden mansion, they looted, and then they just become arsenist. every Minecraft player has done it at least once. maybe by accident, but it always happens.
