@deadvoid.est: In 2011, police entered the home of Russian historian Anatoly Moskvin and discovered what looked like a collection of handmade dolls. But investigators soon realized the “dolls” contained something horrifying. Moskvin had reportedly dug up the remains of 26 girls and young women from cemeteries around Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod region. He preserved some of the remains, dressed them in clothing, wigs and masks, and kept them inside the apartment where he lived with his parents. His parents reportedly believed the figures were simply part of their son’s unusual doll collection. Moskvin had spent years studying cemeteries and burial traditions and reportedly visited hundreds of graveyards. After the discovery, he was arrested and later found mentally unfit to stand trial, resulting in psychiatric treatment rather than a conventional criminal trial. How come they didn’t know something is wrong with him, if he is collecting and making these weird looking dolls and obsessed over them ( even without the grave robbing part) still it should have been addressed. Idk how old parents never really cared what’s normal or not regarding their kids.
