I’d use an Awayuki Strawberry Gin or Amalfi Limon Gin

Some other great modifications: 1) Swap the lime for a sprig or bundle of fresh herbs. Rosemary is delightful. 2) Bitters! Adding a few dashes of orange bitters adds so much wonderful concentrated citrus flavor without tartness. 3) Herbs AND bitters! Lol
