Y’all are definitely different. I raised two boys, both were straight A students. Both have completed undergraduate and graduate school ( a lawyer, an engineer). I aid them nothing for bringing home good grades.” Academic Excellence was an expectation with appropriate consequences for non-compliance. They did receive rewards which were Summer Camp, a family trip every year (outside the United States). We did offer allowance for completing chores, with 20% going to church, 50% going to their savings and 40% which they could use anyway they wanted. Children must learn to do well because they see the value in learning and doing excellent… not because they will receive a cash reward. My opinion.

So cute . However, I can’t reward my child for things he should being doing. Him getting good grades will help HIM in the long run not me. I make sure to provide everything he needs & more so I be darn if I reward him for doing well in school. 🤷🏽‍♀️
