A FOLDING TABLE? Not on my watch. My kids are sad that summer is over, so I’m keeping the magic alive with a DIY Lemonade Stand #RustOleumPartner #ad I built 2 36” wide and 30” tall 2x4 frames that I covered in pine 1x4s with 3/4” plywood on top. I added 1x6 baseboards on the bottom along with caster wheels so this is easy to move around! I added 1x2s on all four sides - I cut the tops at a slight angle so I could attach a 3/4” plywood awning. Then cut scallops from a 1x6 primed pine board. Everything is secured with nails, screws, and wood glue. I used @rustoleum’s Stops Rust Universal Bonding Primer — their Turbo Spray System with a wide nozzle goes 4x faster — great for larger projects! I primed this in less than a minute. Then we voted on colors — Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Gloss Protective Enamel in Sail Blue (matched my outfit!), Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Satin Protective Enamel in Midnight Blue (beautiful color), and Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Satin Protective Enamel in white (a classic). You all told me to keep it all bright and white so the girls could more easily use their imaginations and make this cart anything they want! So after 2 coats, I grabbed some leftover yellow and white paint along with some small paper plates and made a cute little lemon garland they can add and remove easily! I simply painted the plates yellow, painted white lines over top, cut the plates in half, then hot glued them to ribbon. I tied extra pieces of ribbon between each for a fun detail and tied it onto the posts. I did super glue an extra lemon detail on top but that can pop off if needed lol. I couldn’t help myself! I got it all set up for them, and now I can’t wait to surprise them after school! What do you think? Head to stories to see their reactions! #RustOleum #lemonadestand #longlivesummer
