all companies are talking about data sovereignty, NVIDIA soon will start to sell hardware to put in your data center for an accessible price and whoever offers the best local AI will lead the market, anthropic and openai will be forced to release local models, not to mention the already existing "accessible" current Hardware that allow us to run decent models locally already. the future is not gonna be who offers the best AI cause they will be pretty close to each other the future is who offers more privacy

Quality, is the only justification, you can run AI even locally for free, but this is nothing comparing to big models. Ok DS is better then self hosted, but still output quality matters and it is the only driver

I read some comparisons where Chinese fronteer models actually cost the same or more per task, because they spend many more tokens per task. So yeah, the price per token is smaller, but the price per actual useful result is probably about the same

I would question the actual tokens you get for a pro sub with Claude and gpt as I tested deepseek for a day on API and spent $16. $30 for a month on both frontier and im using couple hrs a day.
