This is actually a very important message. Most doctors do not know this. Fertility doctors know this but other physicians/health care professionals that are not specialized in fertility might prescribe TRT for men with low sperm counted not knowing it will cause more harm.

if you do TRT as a man you need to get on meds that make your brain not see the extra T you have. this should definitely be a conversation you have with your doctor on how to preserve your fertility while on TRT.

My husband has been put on Clomid. His SA wasn’t zero but it wasn’t high at all. He also had low t it was 73. He’s since been retested (3 months later) and his t went to 480!

This needs to be our conversation with patients. It is my FIRST question regarding TRT. Any chance you want kids, we initiate Clomid instead. The testosterone level increase is maybe mild compared to actual testosterone supplementation, but its worth it for fertility. Bonus, it also appears to be safer.
