When my nephew was young, just like other boys, we send him for swimming lessons. Now, the group consisted of 5 kiddos. When coach was teaching 2-3 kiddos at one point of time, 2-3 were made to sit on the pool edge. As parents / guardians, our eyes are glued onto our own kiddo cos there is always a “ just incase” happening. And like this one here, luckily the dad was there watching. So unless it’s a one to one coaching, it’s better for us to be “ on site “ rather than just leave our kiddos there or scrolling our phones and pointing our fingers at others when accidents happen. We need to be responsible too.

Swim schools shud always have 2 in the water for these toddlers learning how to swim .. 1 to guard the platform the other coach to teach. There is no way to concentrate on swim coaching if the coach has to watch the platform as well. Swim schools please relook at the process.

This is my topic! I m a swimming coach! Ratio, 3:1 for efficiency, 5-1 is a stretch, 8-1 is prolonged lesson end up a paying more. Also, may swimming instructor have basics thus, a mediocre results. Many instructors/ coaches live to prolong lesson to maximise more lessons not shortened to get best results. This is reality!!!
