I stop on every one of these posts. It hurts, I feel this deep gaping hole in my chest when I watch these 09/11 clips. But I stop because each of these people had lives, people they loved, futures they deserved to live. So I stop & feel that pain, etch their faces into my memory. Your mom is a HERO. Every single person who perished in those buildings, on those flights….. they are hero’s. I’m sure you’d rather have a mother than a hero…. I can’t even fathom the amount of loss you must feel. Your mom deserved to be here. Just know the world is still weeping with you, we haven’t forgotten !

I’m a grown man and this makes me cry almost man I remember going to work that day 20 years ago 25 to be exact awful day my aunt also had a bad car crash today so can September 11 get any worse man

It’s such a haunting thing. I was luckier than some. I had my mom until 31. I remember her being in the hospital, telling me “I don’t want to die, son”. Later that week she was cremated. Her death stripped me of the last innocence I had. I had the realization that, if I live to be 63, I will have lived longer without her than I did with her. Maybe you’ve had it at some point, too. I’m sorry you’ve had this experience.
