Grew up in the Philippines. Napkin is accepted either as a pad or a table napkin. It's usually obvious with the context anyways.

One time, my mom came home from abroad in the US and asked me to ask for some napkins at the hotel restaurant. Me, totally forgetting they’re not called that in the Philippines, went and asked the staff and they looked super confused and holding in their laughter. Then I realized what I had just said and cringed at how embarrassing it was 😂
