It’s really as simple as that ✨⁣ Being a witch isn’t about the family you’re born into, or your bloodline, or the way you look, or even the innate skills you’re born with.⁣ ⁣ There are plenty of deeply intuitive, connected, and spiritual (even psychic!) people out there who aren’t witches, and who don’t feel called to this title or this path at all. ⁣ ⁣ Witchcraft is a path, a practice, and a way of life.⁣ ⁣ If you feel called to witchcraft, the gates are open to you. ⁣ ⁣ Better still, you can forge the path yourself.⁣ ⁣ Some witches are pagan, some are Christian, some are Jewish, some are atheist. ⁣ ⁣ Some witches root their craft into a specific set of folk beliefs, some are eclectic.⁣ ⁣ Some witches abide by what they find in grimoires and other historical texts, some experiment and live by the creed that there are no rules as long as it works. ⁣ ⁣ Some witches are initiated into covens or magical lineages, some are solitary practitioners for their entire lives. ⁣ ⁣ Some witches primarily work with charms and crafts, some with sigils, some with energy, some with spirits, some with astrology, some with herbs. ⁣ ⁣ Within the world of witchcraft, which is relatively small (but growing!) you can find such a diverse assortment of beliefs and practices. ⁣ ⁣ There are a lot of these “signs you’re a witch” posts and “what kind of witch are you” quizzes out there…which can be fun and relatable, but also misleading.⁣ ⁣ Liking the moon and having vivid dreams doesn’t make you a witch (though it may make you more inclined to this path!)…but practicing witchcraft does, and that’s something anyone can choose to do if it calls to them 🧹⁣ #witchcraft #witchywoman #traditionalwitchcraft
