The most asked question I get is how my hair is so long and healthy, here’s what I do to not damage it: 1. No dying or bleaching, this destroys your hair no matter how much you’re trying to give it love and care after. If you actually want healthy hair, either don’t dye it at all which is my biggest recommendation, or go to a professional who knows how to take care of your hair and evaluate what’s best for you and your hairs health. 2. Limit the use of heat, or don’t use it at all. Most of the time I wear my hair all natural, which is pin straight. The times I do use heat to create curls, I always use heat protectant. It’s so important! And for the days I use heat, I make sure to keep that style until the next wash day! Don’t use to high heat either! 3. Try out heatless styles if that works for your hair! This goes for the same as #2, the less trauma and stress you put your hair through the better! My hair is very silky so it won’t hold the heatless styles unless I use a lot of products sadly :( 4. Hair oils!!! Use the right products for your hair type. Don’t try to buy stuff you see trending on tiktok if it’s not for you hair type or the health of your hair. If you have damaged hair, use products that will hydrate and help with the damage. Ask a hair dresser if you’re unsure of what to use! 5. Trim your hair!! This is so important, I know it sucks to lose your length, but it’s so much more important to keep your hair healthy and trim away those split ends than to keep the length and having those split ends eat their way up your hair, resulting in you having to cut more than you needed. #hairtip #hair #growlonghair
