@minutemurse: Hyponatremia can be scary, but where it gets really dangerous is when we decide to replace it! Make sure when doing sodium replacements, we are not going up too quickly. as far fluids go, it just depends on how low the sodium is. ive given 3% at a slow rate for patient with sodium levels that are critically low

recently had a record low of 97. Old TBI we think was the cause. walking and talking. Slowly brought up with Foley insertion and collected 10 L in 6 HRS. Na+ went up to 108. Amazing case.
