@mikecluvert: The second ACL tear hits differently. Not because the first one was easy. But because after months of rehab, strength work, running, jumping and finally believing your knee was ready… You’re back at day one. Roony Bardghji has reportedly torn the ACL in the same knee again at just 20 years old. No big collision. No dramatic tackle. Just training. And that’s an important reminder: Young athletes returning to pivoting sports are a high-risk group for a second ACL injury. That doesn’t automatically mean the surgery failed. It doesn’t automatically mean the rehab was bad. And it isn’t as simple as calling it “bad luck.” There are multiple pieces: → Biological recovery → Strength and power → Deceleration capacity → Reactive movement → Sport exposure → Fatigue → Psychological readiness → And factors we simply cannot completely control I tore mine twice too. The first tear took my ACL. The second one challenged my belief that I could trust my knee again. So if you’re young and working toward return to sport, don’t make month nine the entire plan. Know what you’re testing. Know what you’re rebuilding. Know what still needs exposure. Time matters. But readiness has to be earned too. @fcbarcelona #mikecluvertrehab #fcbarcelona #aclinjury #rooneybardghji #mikecluvert
