I wish it would’ve focused more on the horror/thriller aspects and them in the wilderness and more of the crazy shit, I don’t like the weird route and the emphasis on the adult timeline as much, feels very different from the first few episodes.

Ughhh I wish Yellowjackets was like this, would have been so much better and tough I love this show I fear I was mislead into thinking that it was gonna be this way from the pilot. The pilot definitely had this sort of vibe to it and not just deeming Lottie and Shauna as the “crazy” ones but rather a collective delusion and truth of the wilderness. I understand that not everyone believed in it but it would have been nice 😭 when I first watched Yellowjackets I was convinced that something else was out there with them. Controlling them, and i loved that. I thought that all of these plot points and different things would eventually come together to be something scarier than it actually was. And unfortunately, they did not deliver which I’m really sad about. I feel like s2 was really leading down that direction, with Lottie gaining more power as a cult leader and everyone putting their trust in Lottie, everyone seemed like they truly believed in the wilderness faith even Natalie at the end of season two when she said “the wilderness choose” to Travis who was actively grieving his brother. And soon after she was crowned the antler queen which had a certain darkness to it I couldn’t explain. The way she smiled so wide, like it was fate. Idk I just miss when things were dark (and I’m bias because s2 is my favorite season but anyways) I’m not so sure what happened in s3 and why they decided that never happened and “oh actually they don’t really believe in the wilderness, it’s only because of xyz. And Shauna and Lottie are the real big bad!” Like…okay I guess? That’s fine and I also understand that it’s a drama, but this is not what I signed up for. I signed up for crazy teenage girls in a cult with a possible entity. 😂😂😂 I really hope one day someone can pick up the concept of the show again and re-write it to have more fol I really hope one day someone can pick up the concept of the show again and re-write it to have more folk horror elements. But nonetheless I still love this show all the same and I’m excited for s4
