Itachi is,for me,an absolute Quran-denier and Hadith-worshipper. I had to laugh when she used the story of Moses and the cow (2:67–71) against Quranists. That story actually shows how people kept questioning Moses despite Allah’s clear command. Allah preserved such stories in the Quran so later believers would not be led astray by human traditions—exactly the problem we see today with Sunnism. In 4:34,daraba is automatically translated as “strike”,although the Quran uses the root in different contexts. In 24:31,daraba refers to placing the covering over the chest. And in 4:35,the very next verse calls for mediation through one person from each family when a marriage is in conflict. Physical violence would be completely counterproductive. In this context,daraba can therefore be understood as separation or dissolution of the marriage. It becomes especially problematic when Itachi wants to justify cutting off a child’s hands based on Hadith. The Quran explicitly connects responsibility with maturity and sound judgment (4:6). The Quran does not treat an immature child like a fully responsible adult. Someone who uses Hadith against the Quran while claiming to defend the Quran is ultimately defending a religious tradition,not Allah’s Book. I thought logically it meant split apart, like how Moses split the sea, I heard it was the same word used. So then logically if you follow the order of that verses separation and what comes after separation if it’s not resolved, divorce “split apart”. That’s why I thought it was very poetic for the God of the Koran to use that word because it’s almost like he’s not happy that this unit had to be split.🤷♀️

Dans d’autres sourates Dieu utilise daraba comme séparation , donc c’est bien cette signification, et elle s’insère avec cohérence dans le verset qui démontre une graduation

Yeah we only know that it doesnt mean to “beat” is BECAUSE OF THE HADITHS 😂😂 you cannot be a muslim and reject the messenger ﷺ (no hadiths didnt come 200 years later we have collections before bukhari and yes hadiths were preserved the same why like the quran both orally and in written form)
