What I learnt from school is that the first people to Settle in this country were ( Tongas, Lenjes and Ilas) were called bantu botatwe . This land was called Northern Rhodesia after colonialism. When all the 72 tribes settled in this land they fought for our freedom, they got independence together and named this country Zambia from Northern Rhodesia. They got the name Zambia from Zambezi river. Nothing like one tribe own this country it's just that we have lost the directions, traditional and customs because of the selfishness, wickedness, greediness and bitterness to some leaders. We have never talked about the tribes before the upnd government. We are talking about tribes because bad governance.
