At our Hawthorn Rose project, the brief was clear: preserve the character of this heritage home while integrating a swimming pool, off-street parking for two cars, and a welcoming front entrance that sets the tone from the moment of arrival. The design solution? A carefully orchestrated balance of function and beauty that respects the home's architectural heritage. Along the entrance path, we layered a rich plant palette - varying heights, textures, and forms create a lush, immersive avenue that guides you through the garden. Clusters of ornamental grasses soften the contemporary paving, while sculptural box spheres and pleached trees add year-round structure. Behind the pool, pleached Carpinus betulus (Hornbeams) forms a living screen.
