Our farrier was back Monday to look at her and fit her for her orthopedic shoes. After seeing the distortion in her legs he said that she needs a higher level of intervention than he can give her. That’s the bad news. The good news is we live close to the best equine orthopedic hospital in the country. Today I made her appointment to go and hopefully come up with a shoeing and brace package that works for her. Now, I will never do what’s not right for them. But she deserves for us to try everything we can for her. Every member on our team agrees that this is the best course of action for her. And I am still very optimistic. This sort of care doesn’t come cheap and continued donations for her and him are so much appreciated. I cannot tell you what the support means to all of us. We need to do this for her.
