applied to two different school publications this week, only to withdraw both applications shortly after. mahal na mahal natin ang pamamahayag. for some of us, it's more than just writing; it's a passion, a responsibility, and a way of giving a voice to the people who deserve to be heard. kaya hindi rin madaling tanggapin na, sometimes, loving something so much doesn't automatically mean we're ready to pursue it in every season of our lives. sobrang bago pa ng environment na ginagalawan ko ngayon, and as much as i want to push through, i also have to be honest with myself. hindi porket may experience na tayo sa field, kailangan na nating patunayan agad ang kakayahan natin. sometimes, we need to give ourselves room to adjust, to learn, and to grow. ayaw na rin nating pilitin ang sarili natin just to prove something, only to end up disappointed and lose the confidence we've worked so hard to build. but this doesn't mean we're turning our backs on the masses, nor does it mean we're giving up on the things we believe in. maybe, for now, we just need to take a step back, find our footing, and prepare ourselves for the things we still want to pursue. because choosing to pause doesn't make our passion any less genuine, and taking our time doesn't mean we're falling behind. hindi lahat ng pag-atras ay pagsuko. minsan, kailangan lang nating humakbang palayo sandali para mas mapaghandaan natin ang pagbabalik. we owe it to ourselves to grow beyond the things we're already good at. we deserve to explore, to make mistakes, to rebuild our confidence, and to become better without constantly feeling the need to prove that we're good enough. after all, growth isn't always about taking every opportunity that comes our way; sometimes, it's about recognizing which opportunities we're truly ready for. for now, we'll keep learning, keep listening, and keep finding the courage to become the people we aspire to be. and when the time comes, may we return to the field with a stronger voice, a clearer purpose, and the same burning passion for the truth and the people.
