@bryan_services1: How to spot a komance scam from a lille Away Romance scams are becoming increasingly common, and scammers are getting more sophisticated every day. These fraudsters prey on emotions, using fake profiles and heart-wrenching stories to manipulate innocent people into sending money or sensitive information. The worst part? It's not always easy to spot them right away. But don't worry-by recognizing key red flags, you can protect yourself and others from falling victim to these scams. Here's how to spot a romance scam from a mile away: Too Perfect to Be True If someone's profile looks too polished or their story seems too good to be true, it probably is. Scammers often use stock photos or edited images to create a perfect facade. Real people have flaws, and their profiles often reflect authentic experiences and personality. They Move the Conversation Off the Platform Quickly If they're eager to take the conversation off the dating app or social media platform right away, be cautious. Scammers want to move to more private channels where they can manipulate you without being flagged. They're Overly Flattering or Love-Bombing You Scammers often use exaggerated compliments to gain your trust quickly. If someone is telling you they're "madly in love" after just a few conversations, it's a classic love-bombing tactic to lower your defenses. They Ask for Money or Gifts This is one of the biggest red flags! Scammers often invent emergencies, like needing surgery or a flight ticket, and ask for money. A real person wouldn't ask for financial help early in a relationship especially when you've never met in person. This is one of the biggest red flags! Scammers often invent emergencies, like needing surgery or a flight ticket, and ask for money. A real person wouldn't ask for financial help early in a relationship especially when you've never met in person. Vague or Evasive About Their Life If they can't answer simple questions about themselves or their life seems too secretive, it's a red flag. Scammers will often refuse to video chat, or make excuses for why they can't meet in person, like being "too busy" or "traveling for work." Suspicious Behavior or Stories If their stories seem inconsistent, overly dramatic, or filled with contradictions, they're likely trying to play on your emotions. Listen carefully and trust your instincts if something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't. They Try to Isolate You Scammers often try to isolate their targets from family and friends, manipulating you into believing they are the only one who truly understands you. They may pressure you to keep the relationship a secret or discourage you from talking to loved ones about it. It's important to trust your instincts and never let anyone rush you into making decisions, especially when it comes to money. If something feels off, take a step back and assess the situation. Don't be afraid to report suspicious profiles to the platform or seek help if needed. Protect yourself, and let's work together to stop these fraudsters from preying on others. If you've ever encountered a romance scam or have tips to share, drop a comment below! Together, we can help others avoid falling victim to these scams. Being scammed is more than just a financial loss -it can leave you feeling hurt, embarrassed, angry, or even ashamed. Many victims blame themselves, but the truth is that scammers are highly skilled at manipulating trust and emotions. It can happen to anyone. By sharing your experience, you can help others recognize the warning signs and prevent them from becoming victims. Your story might be the reason someone else stays safe. You're not alone. Let's talk about it and support one another. → #ScamAwareness #StopScammers #AccountAbility #OnlineSafety #FYP

They don’t always ask for gift cards. Sometimes it’s money through western union or money gram, resy or any international money exchange. Some work on you for months, telling you how you are their encouragement or support. They’ll tell you how much you’ve changed their lives or gotten them to finish a goal so they can be with you in the future. They’ll tell may even have fake documents that look real. Some may even FaceTime, but always keep their head down working on a computer or seemingly absorbed in a task. They’ll post fake plane ticket receipts, talk about how they need to decompress before coming to see you or they need to visit a relative first. Some insist they need to return your “loan” for their peace of mind but will make excuses why they can’t “right away”. The money is never returning. When they want to quit the scam, the morning phone calls stop, the texts become less frequent, the lovebombing stops and the calls rarely last more than 5-10 minutes, the good night calls seem more businesslike or rushed. Don’t dismiss that inner intuition, even when you find yourself feeling protective about the “relationship “. The person you’re falling for is the manipulation they want. Remember, the person you love isn’t real-they are a creation someone else has maneuvered you into believing. You’re not stupid or ignorant, they’re professionals at this. Don’t blame yourself.

They call you their queen. They say the state instead of the states when referring to the USA. They ask If you have eaten. They take a long time to respond when you are texting.
I have started telling every man that I talk to that no matter what the circumstances are, i will not give them any money and I promise not to ask them for money. This is before they ask me for money.

I've encountered several varieties of scammers, including three who deployed precisely the same scam (wealthy [unnamed] uncle heading an [unnamed] Wall Streetars investment firm) who all offered to help me get rich quick. Two phony US Army "officers," one of whom claimed $3 million in assets after 15 years in service. A number of inept sex workers. A couple of women who said they were tour guides in NYC who said they wanted to become call girls.
