@chereeanne: Is there anything more stressful than working out how to dress your baby as the weather changes? #babyclothes #springbaby #mumsoftiktok #babyoutfits
Go based on how you feel , but rule is they usually need one extra layer

highly recommended the wondercool by bonds. a lighter weight more breathable onsie great for Warner summer nights and warmer days ( not too hot) as protects their skin from sunburn and mozzie during walks n outside play

Brittany 🎀 Girl Mom :
I have a 6 week old and at night she’s still sleeping in singlet, bonds fuzzy poodlette onesie, cotton swaddle, blanket tucked halfway down and firm. During the day if we are inside with the aircon she’s still in comfy relatively thick onesies just with no singlet anymore. Out and about she’s still in a onesie that isn’t too thick but isn’t too thin and I’ve just started ditching the singlets. Today in brisbane it was windy and 20 degrees so on our walk she was in a moderately thick onesie and then a thick knitted blanket over the top in the pram. I always think it’s easier to warm them up than cool them down so when in doubt pack and extra layer and always have a blanket handy

Girl I do the same I feel if I’m only hot because I’m walking and outside in the sun my son won’t be as hot in his peak not moving or in direct sunlight bonds onesies aren’t too thick either you can always get a clip on pram fan if you’re too stressed in this confusing weather x

The Next short sleeve baby rompers are the best! They have a 2-way zip for nappy changes (the bonds ones don’t). They come in multi packs. Great quality too! Good for both sleeping and daytime wear. On unpredictable weather days (hello Melbourne) you can use them as a base layer then put a cardi and trackies or light pants over the top to keep the leggies warmer/protected from the sun.

as someone from North Queensland i have already started dressing him for summer but he was a summer baby and we are getting into 23-24 higher during the day so it is quite hot i would keep him in long clothes until it get to like 23-24 higher hope that helps!

I find it helps to remember what im wearing plus 1 layer. it was 20° here today but I was in a long sleeve so he was in a long sleeve and singlet

It’s all a bit of trial and error. One of my twins he learnt always runs hot and the other runs cold so I have to dress them differently. I’m always shoving my hand down the back of them to check if they are hot or clammy

It’s tricky, especially when they aren’t moving yet. Having your morning cuppa sitting outside and see how many layers you need when you are sitting in the shade. Babies usually need an extra layer than us and a blanket as needed.

I worry about sun protection as we cannot put sunscreen on them until 6 mo. I'd keep a thin layer on as it warms up xx

Sarah | Aussie in Eesti 💙 :
we were told 1 layer more than you. so if you are in t-shirt and pants and warm enough, he's in t-shirt, pants and either a cardigan or a singlet. Melbourne weather is so unpredictable though so we always packed extra clothes if leaving the house to be either warmer or cooler, as well as a light blanket 😂

How is Nic?, you said he was starting a new job, that's stressful for you all. Hope he is okay, we don't see him much with dear wee Teddy...it's been a big journey for him.💙

One more layer than you is a good rule to go by. If you’re in a tee pop him in a tee with a singlet underneath :) or looser fitting clothes also breathable, so loose cotton long sleeve good for sun protection rather than onesie that’s tight on the skin

It is tricky. Would recommend long but light sleeves and pants in September. Late October for short sleeves and pants etc. Bonds Wondercool onesies for sleeping are a lifesaver for in-between weather.
