@philocalywanderlust: I love people who just naturally have morals and values. The kind of people who don’t need to be reminded to consider how their actions affect other people. They don’t need an audience, praise or recognition for doing the right thing. It’s just who they are. I think there’s something really rare about people who can be trusted to do the right thing even when nobody is watching. People who don’t change their behaviour depending on who’s in the room. People who can celebrate someone else without feeling threatened, be happy for someone else’s success without making it about themselves, and treat people with kindness even when there’s absolutely nothing to gain from it. You can tell a lot about someone by what they do when there’s no applause for it.
