Just remember, someone in an office was paid way to much to design this

I can never understand why the cheapest part of the installation cannot be extended to leave room for the most expensive part of the installation. The mind boggles! 🙄

Would have to Risk Asses and conclude as being dangerous to you and over stressing the core insulation.
Use your right to stop on safety grounds.

Reminds me when we had to do this on a LVAC panel with 95 3 core 😂 we dropped the cable back down the hole. Put a lug on the cable and then brought it back. Made it slightly easier 😅

How come it’s the old colours? Was this an old installation that’s being refurbed and materials reused

Can’t you mark the cores where they need to go, slide the cable down in the cabinet, fit the lugs and then slide it back off and make it off?

had this problem a few times we took a good bit more of the inner bedding out to get more play on the cable and those lugs are mental for the space given

Why didn’t they build the gland plate 200mm lower! Rather you than me. I will stick to EHV ❤️

These stations are a nightmare; I recognize them, we have several sites with them, and they don't get any better.

Make the tails longer and bend them round behind and back up to the lugs

Have you ever tried a bending bar ?, I’ve not used one myself but look like they could help in a situation like that

If there are 2 of you, can’t you drop the cable out of the gland and straighten up your cores and put a bolt in each lug and mark the cores were they need cutting ?.

great video should be shown as part of every electrical design engineers induction

panel builder doesnt understand this
a lot of engineers design lighting and small power and never get near this.
i have to catch these problems so often (early) to get any changes made before production.
its one of my first checks

That’s a complete joke. That’s designed by engineer who’s never put a big cable in. Who sizes the cable like that for that size cable way
