@wonderful.macedonia: Biljanini Izvori is actually the overflow of water in the pool located above the openings where it flows out. One part of the pool is used for the needs of the water supply in Ohrid, one part for the needs of the Hydrobiological Institute for artificial breeding of fish fry and for providing clean water. Once those needs are met, the excess water is poured over the openings of Biljanini Izvori. The site at Biljanini Izvori and the springs themselves are visited by up to one hundred thousand domestic and foreign tourists during the summer. There are several legends, but the most famous is the one about the beautiful Ohrid maiden Biljana who bleached her linen at the springs with clear waters. One day, a caravan of winemakers passed by the springs, and Biljana asked the boys to pass carefully, so as not to step on the white linen.
